RIP, DJ Arafat. Thank you for bringing Africa so high !
Big emotion in Africa today with the announcement of the death of the Ivorian artist DJ Arafat. It is proof that even for those of my generation who followed him from afar, as we observe something from the corner of the eye, he has marked many generations, young and old.
Africa loses a great artist of this generation who was able to bring at the top the afropop merged with the influences of « the village ».
This generation without complex has also taken advantage of social networks to bring another dimension to African artists, many of whom still face piracy. This generation who in clips making as real visual treasures, also puts authentic Africa through african outfits and dances. By their art and their creativity, this generation is today one of the greatest ambassadors of the continent.
There are still some weeks, the African canvas vibrated to the rhythm of clashes between Arafat and some confreres, many fans so quickly falling to stir up these derisory passes. Oh yes, very derisory, as reminds us of the sudden departure of this artist.
DJ Arafat, whose real name is Ange Didier HUON, died of a motorcycle accident that occurred Sunday night in Abidjan. Admitted to emergencies, he did not survive his injuries. He was 33 years old.
RIP, DJ Arafat.
Welcome back home and sincere condolences to your children, sibling and close. Thank you for all that you have brought to Africa and to young people. ©Minsilizanga.com
